SUVN-L3307032 is a centrally acting small molecule that functions as a positive allosteric modulator (PAM) of the muscarinic M4 acetylcholine receptor. It enhances muscarinic M4 receptor signaling through an allosteric binding site, leading to modulation of dopaminergic tone in brain regions implicated in neuropsychiatric disorders. Preclinical studies demonstrated good oral bioavailability, excellent brain penetration, dose-dependent receptor occupancy, and efficacy in animal models of schizophrenia and psychosis. Preliminary toxicity data support its continued development for management of neuropsychiatric symptoms, including psychosis and agitation[2][5][7][9].
