Overview
Suxinding sulfate (硫酸舒欣啶) is a small molecule Class III antiarrhythmic agent developed by Hebei Zhongbao Pharmaceutical. Administered via injection, it is specifically designed for the rapid conversion of atrial fibrillation and atrial flutter to normal sinus rhythm. As a Class III antiarrhythmic, its primary mechanism involves the blockade of cardiac potassium channels, which leads to a prolongation of the action potential duration and the effective refractory period in myocardial tissues. This action helps stabilize cardiac rhythm without significantly impacting the conduction velocity of the heart. The drug is currently in Phase 2 clinical development in China.
