Overview
Suzhafu is a traditional Uighur medicine (a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine) developed and manufactured by Xinjiang Huakang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of vitiligo vulgaris, a condition characterized by the loss of skin pigment. Formulated as oral granules, Suzhafu is a multi-component herbal preparation containing ingredients such as *Vernonia anthelmintica*, *Psoralea corylifolia*, *Alpinia officinarum*, *Piper nigrum*, and *Zingiber officinale*. Its therapeutic effect is attributed to its ability to promote blood circulation, regulate immune responses, and stimulate melanocyte activity and tyrosinase expression, thereby facilitating repigmentation of the skin. It is widely used in clinical practice in China, often as part of a comprehensive treatment regimen for vitiligo.
