By delivering mRNA encoding a CAR directly to the target cell population in vivo, SV-AI-001 aims to generate transient CAR-expressing cells to deplete pathogenic immune cells involved in SLE, while avoiding the complex ex vivo manufacturing processes associated with traditional CAR-T cell therapies.
