Overview

SV102 is a live-attenuated vaccine candidate being developed by Sysvax for the prevention of brucellosis. Brucellosis is a zoonotic infection caused by bacteria of the genus *Brucella*, which can lead to chronic health issues in humans, including undulant fever, arthritis, and endocarditis. The vaccine is designed to induce a robust and lasting immune response by presenting the immune system with a weakened version of the pathogen, thereby stimulating both humoral and cellular immunity without causing the disease. SV102 is currently in the preclinical stage of development and represents a potential advancement in the prevention of this widespread zoonotic threat.
