Overview

SV103 is a recombinant protein-based in vivo diagnostic reagent under development by Sysvax for the diagnosis of tuberculosis. It is designed to be used as a skin test to detect *Mycobacterium tuberculosis* infection by eliciting a delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) response. By utilizing specific recombinant antigens that are absent in the *Bacillus Calmette-Guérin* (BCG) vaccine and most non-tuberculous mycobacteria, SV103 aims to provide a more specific alternative to the traditional tuberculin skin test (TST), which often yields false-positive results in BCG-vaccinated individuals. The reagent is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
