Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SV104 is a Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) diagnostic reagent under development by Sysvax for the detection of brucellosis. Brucellosis is a bacterial zoonosis caused by members of the genus *Brucella*. The reagent is composed of a refined mixture of soluble proteins obtained from *Brucella* cultures that have been heat-killed and filtered. When administered, typically via intradermal injection, it triggers a delayed-type hypersensitivity (DTH) reaction in individuals previously sensitized to *Brucella* antigens, serving as a diagnostic indicator of infection. SV104 is currently in preclinical development and is likely intended as a companion diagnostic for human brucellosis screening and vaccine monitoring.
