Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SVC-Survivin is a preclinical-stage cancer therapeutic developed by SiVec Biotechnologies using its proprietary BactPac™ live biotherapeutic delivery platform. The drug consists of engineered non-pathogenic bacteria designed to produce and deliver a nanobody (single-domain antibody) that targets Survivin (BIRC5), an anti-apoptotic protein often overexpressed in cancer cells. By inhibiting the activity of Survivin, SVC-Survivin promotes programmed cell death (apoptosis) and acts as a chemotherapy enhancer, potentially improving the efficacy of standard-of-care treatments. It is being developed for use as both a monotherapy and in combination with chemotherapy for various oncology indications.
