Overview

SVG101 is a dispersible tablet formulation of everolimus, a small molecule inhibitor of the mammalian target of rapamycin (mTOR) pathway. Developed by SoVarGen Co., Ltd., SVG101 is specifically designed to provide an alternative dosage form for adult patients who have difficulty swallowing standard tablets (dysphagia). Everolimus works by binding to the intracellular protein FKBP-12, forming a complex that inhibits the mTOR complex 1 (mTORC1), thereby reducing cell proliferation, angiogenesis, and glucose uptake. SVG101 is being developed for indications previously approved for the reference drug Afinitor, including advanced renal cell carcinoma, hormone receptor-positive breast cancer, neuroendocrine tumors, and tuberous sclerosis complex.
