SVN-002

SVN-002 is a clinical-stage, novel combination therapy being developed by Solvonis Therapeutics for the treatment of moderate to severe alcohol use disorder in the United States. It consists of a patent-pending proprietary sublingual esketamine oral thin film formulation combined with manualised psycho-social support or alcohol education, aiming to target both the neurobiological drivers of alcohol dependence via N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonism and the behavioural/psychosocial components of the disorder through structured therapy.[1][5][8][9][11] The program leverages a 505(b)(2) regulatory pathway referencing existing esketamine safety and efficacy data and is advancing towards a Phase 2b trial following successful Phase 1 formulation work completed by LTS Lohmann and subsequently in-licensed by Solvonis.[1][5][6][7][11][12]
