Overview

SVN-015 is a novel small molecule selective serotonin and dopamine reuptake inhibitor (SDRI) being developed by Solvonis Therapeutics. Discovered via an AI-driven drug discovery platform, the compound targets both the serotonin transporter (SERT) and the dopamine transporter (DAT) to address conditions involving dysregulated mood, motivation, and reward processing. It is currently in the discovery phase for the treatment of stimulant use disorder (specifically cocaine and methamphetamine addiction) and major depressive disorder (MDD). SVN-015 has been accepted into the US National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) Addiction Treatment Discovery Program for preclinical evaluation and has demonstrated antidepressant-like activity in rodent models when benchmarked against fluoxetine. The drug is being developed as a once-daily oral therapy to address significant unmet medical needs in addiction and psychiatry.
