Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SVT26 is a live bacterial strain developed by the Australian biotechnology company Servatus as a component of a topical live biotherapeutic product (LBP) consortium for the treatment of atopic dermatitis. Formulated alongside two other bacterial strains, SVT9 and SVT23, in a topical spray, SVT26 is designed to address dysbiosis and immune dysregulation associated with inflammatory skin conditions. The three-strain consortium was evaluated in a single-center, open-label, single-arm exploratory Phase 0 clinical study in Australia, where it was applied twice daily for 21 days to active atopic dermatitis lesions.
