Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Swarnabhupati rasa is a classical Ayurvedic herbomineral formulation (Rasashastra) used primarily for treating chronic inflammatory and neuromuscular conditions, such as rheumatoid arthritis (Amavata). It is composed of several Bhasmas (calcined minerals), including Swarna Bhasma (gold), Abhraka Bhasma (mica), and Loha Bhasma (iron), processed with Kajjali (purified mercury and sulfur). The preparation is traditionally used to alleviate joint pain, swelling, and stiffness while providing rejuvenative (Rasayana) benefits. It is often administered alongside other Ayurvedic herbs to enhance its therapeutic efficacy in postpartum and chronic arthritic conditions.
