Overview

SY-201 is a small molecule ophthalmic solution under development for the treatment of dry eye disease, also known as keratoconjunctivitis sicca. It is administered via the ophthalmic route and is currently in Phase 2 clinical trials in the United States and China. The drug was initially developed by Shengyuan Pharmaceutical Guangzhou (also referred to as Seinda Pharmaceutical), which focuses on precision medicine for eye disorders. The specific mechanism of action has not been disclosed.
