Overview

**SYB-010** is a first-in-class monoclonal antibody that targets soluble MHC class I chain-related proteins (sMIC), including MICA and MICB, which are tumor-released immunosuppressive molecules shed by cancer cells to evade NKG2D-mediated immune recognition. By neutralizing sMIC, it activates both T lymphocyte and natural killer (NK) cell arms of the anti-tumor immune response, reducing tumor growth in preclinical models and enhancing efficacy when combined with immune checkpoint inhibitors (e.g., PD-1/PD-L1/CTLA-4 blockers) in otherwise resistant tumors. Originally developed by CanCure LLC and acquired by Samyang Biopharm USA in 2019, it demonstrated immunomodulatory effects in animal studies and was planned for Phase 1 trials post-IND, though development has since been discontinued in preclinical stages for cancer.
