SYD-003

SYD-003 is a novel small molecule immunomodulator and p38 mitogen‐activated protein kinase (MAPK) inhibitor developed by Synovo. It is designed to reactivate suppressed immune cells in the tumor microenvironment so they can attack tumors directly or stimulate other immune cells that have been rendered inactive by tumor signaling. This mechanism interrupts the tumor’s ability to suppress and co-opt local immune responses. Preclinical studies in pancreatic cancer models have shown significant anti-tumor activity for a non-cytotoxic compound and favorable tolerability compared to conventional chemotherapy. The drug has received orphan drug status for pancreatic cancer in Europe and remains under preclinical development[1][2][4].
