Overview

SygeLIX-Coll-T is an investigational ophthalmic biologic developed by TBF Génie Tissulaire for the treatment of chronic keratitis and corneal ulcers. It is a reconstituted suspension composed of trehalose and Wharton's jelly extract, a primordial mucous connective tissue derived from the umbilical cord. The extract is rich in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), growth factors, cytokines, hyaluronic acid, and extracellular vesicles, which provide anti-inflammatory, pro-healing, and regenerative effects on the corneal epithelium. The product is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT05200000) for patients with chronic keratitis refractory to standard therapies.
