Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYH2059 is an investigational, highly selective small molecule inhibitor of phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4) being developed by InnovStone Therapeutics, a subsidiary of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group. Formulated as a dry powder for inhalation, SYH2059 is designed for the treatment of inflammatory respiratory diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma. By targeting PDE4 directly in the lungs, the drug aims to provide potent localized anti-inflammatory effects while minimizing the systemic exposure that typically leads to gastrointestinal side effects, such as nausea and vomiting, associated with oral PDE4 inhibitors. SYH2059 is currently undergoing Phase I clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy participants.
