Overview

SYH2067 is a long-acting glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist developed by CSPC Baike (Shandong) Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group. It is currently under clinical investigation for the treatment of obesity and overweight. As a GLP-1 receptor agonist, SYH2067 mimics the action of the endogenous incretin hormone GLP-1, which plays a vital role in glucose homeostasis and appetite regulation. By binding to and activating GLP-1 receptors in the pancreas and the central nervous system, the drug stimulates insulin secretion, inhibits glucagon release, slows gastric emptying, and promotes a feeling of fullness. These combined effects lead to reduced caloric intake and significant weight loss. SYH2067 is designed with a prolonged pharmacokinetic profile to allow for infrequent dosing, potentially improving long-term patient compliance in chronic weight management.
