Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYH2083 is a small-molecule ophthalmic topical formulation (eye drops) developed by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group (via its subsidiary Shanghai Yishi Pharmaceutical Technology) for the treatment of ocular surface inflammatory diseases, primarily dry eye disease. It acts as an immunomodulator by reducing the adhesion and activation of T lymphocytes, thereby lowering pro-inflammatory signaling on the ocular surface. By targeting the T-cell adhesion-activation axis, SYH2083 aims to interrupt the upstream inflammatory cascade that drives dry eye disease and other ocular surface conditions, such as allergic conjunctivitis, offering a potential rapid-onset alternative to existing therapies like cyclosporine.
