Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYH2085 is an orally administered small molecule inhibitor of Protein Arginine Methyltransferase 5 (PRMT5), developed by CSPC ZhongQi Pharmaceutical Technology, a subsidiary of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group. PRMT5 is an epigenetic enzyme that catalyzes the symmetric dimethylation of arginine residues on both histone and non-histone proteins, a process frequently dysregulated in various cancers to promote tumor cell proliferation and survival. By inhibiting PRMT5, SYH2085 aims to disrupt these oncogenic signaling pathways and inhibit tumor growth. The drug is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation for the treatment of advanced solid tumors and has also been studied in healthy volunteers to characterize its safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetic profile, including food-effect assessments.
