Overview

SYH2092 is a long-acting triple receptor agonist that targets the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor, the glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor, and the glucagon (GCG) receptor. Developed by CSPC Megalith Biopharmaceutical, a subsidiary of CSPC Pharmaceutical Group, the drug is being investigated for the treatment of metabolic diseases, specifically obesity. By integrating the pharmacological profiles of three distinct incretin and metabolic hormones, SYH2092 is intended to provide enhanced weight reduction and metabolic benefits compared to single or dual agonists. The GLP-1 and GIP components primarily drive appetite suppression and insulin sensitivity, while the glucagon component is intended to increase thermogenesis and energy expenditure. It is administered via subcutaneous injection and is currently undergoing Phase 1 clinical evaluation to assess safety, tolerability, and pharmacokinetics in healthy participants.
