Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYH9087 is a long-acting, once-weekly subcutaneous injection of rotigotine, a non-ergoline dopamine receptor agonist, being developed by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. Utilizing CSPC's proprietary long-acting delivery technology platform, the formulation is based on biocompatible excipients that form an in-situ drug depot upon subcutaneous injection, enabling sustained and continuous release of rotigotine over a week. Compared to existing intramuscular rotigotine microsphere formulations, SYH9087 is administered subcutaneously, requires no complex reconstitution prior to clinical use, and utilizes a finer-gauge needle with a smaller injection volume, which is expected to reduce injection-site pain and improve patient compliance. In September 2026, the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) of China approved clinical trials for SYH9087.
