Overview

SYL A is an early-stage small interfering RNA (siRNA) therapeutic candidate developed by Sylentis, a subsidiary of PharmaMar, for the treatment of retinitis pigmentosa. Utilizing RNA interference (RNAi) technology, SYL A is designed to selectively silence the expression of a specific gene involved in the progression of retinal degeneration. The program is part of Sylentis's specialized ophthalmology pipeline, which focuses on using siRNA to treat various eye diseases. As of current pipeline disclosures, SYL A remains in the research and discovery phase, and its specific molecular target has not been publicly identified.
