The product is composed of porous polymeric microspheres, a technology designed to provide immediate structural volume while potentially facilitating tissue ingrowth and stimulating endogenous collagen production. Unlike traditional solid microspheres, the porous architecture of SYM-2356 is intended to enhance the biological integration of the implant within the dermal or subcutaneous layers. It is primarily being developed for soft tissue augmentation and the correction of age-related volume loss.
