Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Symetrian (UP360) is a standardized botanical dietary supplement ingredient developed by Unigen, Inc., composed of extracts from *Aloe barbadensis* (Aloe vera) leaf gel, *Poria cocos* mushroom sclerotium, and *Rosmarinus officinalis* (Rosemary) leaf. It is designed to support immune system homeostasis and enhance immune response. The mechanism of action involves the rapid activation of innate and adaptive immune cells, specifically natural killer (NK) cells, natural killer T (NKT) cells, gamma delta T cells, and monocytes, typically observed within 1 to 3 hours of oral intake. Furthermore, Symetrian has been shown to increase the levels of key antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase, and glutathione peroxidase. Clinical evidence supports its use for long-term daily supplementation and as an adjunct to support immune responses following influenza vaccination.
