Overview

SynKIR-140 is an investigational multi-chain KIR-CAR T cell therapy being developed by Verismo Therapeutics for the treatment of mesothelioma. It is built upon the proprietary KIR-CAR platform, which utilizes a multi-chain chimeric receptor designed to mimic the natural activation signaling of killer cell immunoglobulin-like receptors (KIR) typically found on natural killer (NK) cells. This approach aims to overcome the limitations of traditional single-chain CAR T cell therapies in solid tumors by enhancing T cell persistence and maintaining activity within the immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. While the specific antigen target for SynKIR-140 has not been publicly disclosed, the asset is part of a broader strategy to address aggressive solid cancers and is currently in the early stages of development.
