SynKIR-210 is an investigational cell therapy developed by Verismo Therapeutics. It is based on a novel KIR-CAR (killer immunoglobulin-like receptor chimeric antigen receptor) platform technology designed to enhance the persistence and efficacy of CAR T cells against solid tumors. The therapy uses a nature-inspired multichain receptor system that separates tumor binding from T cell activation, allowing for prolonged T cell function even in challenging solid tumor microenvironments. The KIR-CAR platform leverages dual binding and signaling chains that couple upon engagement with the tumor, activating a parallel DAP12 pathway independent of the traditional CD3-zeta pathway used by conventional CAR-T therapies. This design aims to provide long-lasting anti-tumor activity by combining features of NK cell receptors with durable T-cell responses[1][5]. SynKIR-210 is currently in the discovery phase for the treatment of solid tumors[1][4].
