Overview

This is a personalized cancer vaccine being developed by Washington University School of Medicine for patients with muscle-invasive bladder cancer (MIBC) and gastroesophageal adenocarcinoma who have molecular residual disease (MRD). The vaccine is a biologic therapeutic composed of synthetic long peptides (SLPs) that correspond to prioritized cancer neoantigens identified from each individual patient's tumor through genomic sequencing. The active ingredients are patient-specific SLPs targeting tumor neoantigens, which are co-administered with poly-ICLC (polyinosinic-polycytidylic acid with polylysine and carboxymethylcellulose), a Toll-like receptor 3 (TLR3) agonist that serves as an adjuvant to enhance immune responses. The vaccine aims to generate neoantigen-specific T-cell responses to enable circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) clearance and prevent disease recurrence. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 clinical trial (NCT06529822).
