Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYP-2246 is a preclinical mRNA vaccine candidate developed by Samyang Holdings Biopharm Group for the prevention of COVID-19. The vaccine utilizes the company's proprietary SENS™ (Samyang Elucidated Nanoparticle System) platform, which is a specialized delivery technology designed to protect mRNA and facilitate its entry into cells using biodegradable polymeric nanoparticles. This delivery system is intended to overcome the stability and delivery challenges associated with mRNA therapeutics. By delivering mRNA encoding a SARS-CoV-2 antigen, SYP-2246 aims to stimulate the host's immune system to produce a protective response against the virus.
