Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYP-2590 is an mRNA-based therapeutic candidate being developed by Samyang Holdings Biopharm Group for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The drug utilizes Samyang's proprietary SENS™ (Samyang Elucidative Nanoparticle System) delivery technology, which employs specialized nanoparticles to protect and deliver mRNA to target tissues. While the specific protein encoded by the mRNA has not been publicly disclosed, the therapy is designed to address the underlying pathophysiology of lung fibrosis by inducing the expression of therapeutic proteins directly within the lung environment. It is currently in the preclinical stage of development.
