Overview

SYS6006.32 is a bivalent mRNA COVID-19 vaccine developed by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group targeting the XBB.1.5 and BQ.1 variants of SARS-CoV-2[1][5][10]. It encodes spike protein antigens from both variants, aiming to provide broad-spectrum protection against circulating Omicron subvariants and related strains[10]. The vaccine is designed as a heterologous booster for individuals previously vaccinated with other COVID-19 vaccines[1][6]. Clinical studies have demonstrated that SYS6006.32 induces robust neutralizing antibody responses against multiple Omicron subvariants (including BA.5, XBB lineages, EG.5) and elicits strong T-cell responses with a favorable safety profile; most adverse events are mild or moderate in severity[6][8]. Compared to the monovalent prototype-based vaccine (SYS6006), SYS6006.32 shows superior immunogenicity and cross-neutralization capacity against emerging SARS-CoV-2 variants[6].
