Overview

SYS6026 is a therapeutic bivalent messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine developed by CSPC Pharmaceutical Group. It targets high-grade squamous intraepithelial lesions (HSIL) associated with human papillomavirus (HPV) type 16 or 18. The vaccine consists of mRNA molecules encoding the E6 and E7 antigens of HPV types 16 and 18, delivered via a lipid nanoparticle (LNP) system. Upon administration, it induces the expression of these antigens in host cells, generating antigen-specific T cells that can eliminate HPV-infected cells and inhibit tumorigenesis. This approach aims to provide an effective non-surgical treatment for precancerous cervical lesions caused by HPV, addressing significant unmet clinical needs as there are currently no approved therapeutic vaccines for HPV-related lesions worldwide[2][6].
