Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYS6033 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting interleukin-33 (IL-33), developed by CSPC Megalith Biopharmaceutical. IL-33 is an alarmin cytokine released from damaged epithelial cells that plays a critical role in initiating and driving Type 2 inflammation. By binding to IL-33, SYS6033 prevents its interaction with the ST2 receptor, thereby suppressing the activation of Th2 cells, ILC2s, and other immune cells involved in the pathogenesis of allergic and inflammatory diseases. It is primarily being investigated for the treatment of atopic dermatitis and other inflammatory conditions like asthma.
