Overview

SYSA1902 is a biosimilar of ustekinumab, a human monoclonal antibody that targets interleukin-12 (IL-12) and interleukin-23 (IL-23). It is developed for the treatment of moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. Clinical studies have demonstrated that SYSA1902 has equivalent efficacy, safety, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity compared to reference ustekinumab in patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. The mechanism of action involves inhibiting IL-12 and IL-23 signaling pathways by binding to their shared p40 subunit, thereby reducing inflammation associated with immune-mediated diseases[1][3][6].
