Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Systaflam is a brand of multi-ingredient pain-relieving and muscle-relaxing formulations developed and marketed by Systopic Laboratories. It is available in several formulations, including topical gels, topical sprays, and oral capsules/tablets, primarily indicated for the management of musculoskeletal pain, muscle spasms, joint stiffness, and inflammatory conditions such as osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, sprains, and sports injuries. The topical gel formulation typically combines the non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) diclofenac with the muscle relaxant mephenesin and counterirritants like menthol, methyl salicylate, and turpentine oil. The oral MR (muscle relaxant) formulation combines diclofenac with the muscle relaxant thiocolchicoside, while the oral tablet formulation combines diclofenac with paracetamol and chlorzoxazone. Together, these active ingredients work synergistically to alleviate pain, reduce inflammation, and relieve muscle spasms.
