Developed by **Sichuan Sunnyhope Pharmaceutical**, the compound is currently being investigated for the treatment of **diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN)**. In preclinical studies using rhesus monkey models of diabetes, oral administration of SYW06 demonstrated significant improvements in sensory nerve conduction velocity (SCV), showing efficacy comparable to the aldose reductase inhibitor epalrestat.
