Overview

SZN-1326 is a tetravalent, full-length human bispecific antibody developed using Surrozen’s SWAP (Surrozen Wnt signal activating protein) technology. It acts as a selective Wnt mimetic by binding to Frizzled class receptor 5 (Fzd5) and low-density lipoprotein receptor-related protein 6 (LRP6), thereby stimulating the Wnt signaling pathway in the intestinal epithelium. This activation promotes regeneration of intestinal epithelial cells, expansion of stem and progenitor cell populations, and accelerates mucosal healing while reducing inflammation. Preclinical studies demonstrated robust repair of injured colon epithelium without affecting normal tissue or causing hyperplasia. The drug is being developed primarily for moderate to severe ulcerative colitis and other inflammatory bowel diseases[1][2][4][5][7][9].
