Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SZV-1287 is a small molecule multi-target therapeutic being developed by Algonist Biotechnologies, a portfolio company of CEBINA, for the treatment of neuropathic and chronic pain. The compound, also referred to as ALG-1, functions as a triple inhibitor targeting amine oxidase copper containing 3 (AOC3, also known as semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase or SSAO), transient receptor potential ankyrin 1 (TRPA1), and transient receptor potential vanilloid 1 (TRPV1). By inhibiting these targets, SZV-1287 aims to reduce neurogenic inflammation and alleviate pain signaling. It is currently in Phase 1 clinical development, with a single ascending dose study ongoing for neuropathic and chronic pain conditions.
