Drug intelligence / Profile preview
T-DEN-Post-Transfection F19 is a live-attenuated tetravalent dengue virus (DENV) vaccine formulation. It contains four dengue virus serotypes: DENV-1 (West Pac 74, 45AZ5, PDK-27), DENV-2 (S16803, PDK-50), DENV-3 (CH53489, PDK-20), and DENV-4 (341750, PDK-6). The vaccine was developed through a re-derivation process where purified viral RNA from each strain was extracted and used to transfect FRhL cells. The F19 formulation is similar to the F17 formulation but contains approximately 4-fold less DENV-4 than the F17 formulation. The vaccine is pre-mixed, freeze-dried, and presented in single-dose vials, with sterile water used for reconstitution before injection.
