Drug intelligence / Profile preview
T-oligo is a single-stranded deoxyribonucleic acid with partial sequence homology to human telomeric DNA. It has been shown to elicit cytostatic and/or cytotoxic effects in multiple cancer cell types by interfering with normal telomeric structure and forming G-quadruplex structures, thereby inducing genomic stress and activating DNA damage response pathways. T-oligo is particularly noted for its effectiveness in prostate cancer cells while being non-toxic to normal primary cells.
