T2 is a chloroform/methanol extract derived from the traditional Chinese medicine Tripterygium wilfordii Hook F (TWHF). It has demonstrated both immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory activities. Its major component, triptolide, has shown potential in preventing chronic colitis in animal studies. T2 is being investigated for its efficacy and safety in conditions such as Crohn's disease and rheumatoid arthritis.
