Drug intelligence / Profile preview
T20G is a proprietary 3D-printed, non-vitamin K antagonist oral anticoagulant (NOAC) developed by Triastek. It utilizes a novel gastric retention drug delivery system based on Triastek's patented 3D Microstructure for Gastric Retention (3DμS-GR) platform and is manufactured using the Melt Extrusion Deposition with Micro-Injection Molding (MED&MIM) process. This technology enables once-daily oral administration by sustaining the release of the active pharmaceutical ingredient in the upper gastrointestinal tract, potentially improving absorption and patient adherence compared to reference listed drugs that require twice-daily dosing. T20G is being developed under the FDA's 505(b)(2) pathway and has received IND clearance from both China's NMPA and the U.S. FDA for use as an anticoagulant in patients with atrial fibrillation to prevent stroke[1].
