Drug intelligence / Profile preview
T22 is Triastek's investigational **3D-printed gastric-retention sustained-release capsule formulation of riociguat** for pulmonary arterial hypertension and chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension. The oral product uses Triastek's Melt Extrusion Deposition plus Micro-Injection Molding process and 3D Microstructure for Gastric Retention delivery platform to retain the dosage form in the stomach and provide programmed, sustained riociguat release, with the intended goal of reducing dosing frequency from three times daily to once daily. Riociguat stimulates soluble guanylate cyclase, increasing cyclic guanosine monophosphate signaling and promoting pulmonary vasodilation. Triastek develops and manufactures the formulation, while Sperogenix Therapeutics holds East Asian development and commercialization rights.
