T25 is an investigational oral tablet formulation of octreotide acetate developed by Triastek (Shanghai) Limited using its proprietary 3D printing technology, Melt Extrusion Deposition (MED). Octreotide is a synthetic peptide analogue of natural somatostatin that binds to somatostatin receptors (primarily SSTR2 and SSTR5) with higher stability and potency. By activating these receptors, it inhibits the secretion of growth hormone (GH) and insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1), making it a standard treatment for acromegaly and certain neuroendocrine tumors. T25 is designed to improve the bioavailability and convenience of octreotide therapy compared to traditional injectable formulations. The designation "T25-Fed" specifically refers to the administration of the drug under fed conditions (typically a high-fat diet) in clinical trials to evaluate the impact of food on its pharmacokinetic profile.
