T2C001-AMI is an autologous cellular therapeutic developed by the German biopharmaceutical company t2cure GmbH. The therapy consists of mononuclear stem cells harvested from the patient's own bone marrow, which are then processed and re-administered to promote tissue repair and vascular growth. T2C001-AMI has primarily been developed for cardiovascular and peripheral vascular indications, specifically Buerger's Disease (thromboangiitis obliterans) and acute myocardial infarction (AMI). The therapy works by inducing neovascularization (angiogenesis) in ischemic tissues through the release of paracrine factors and direct cellular contribution to vessel formation. It received orphan drug designation from the FDA and EMA for Buerger's Disease and was commercially available in Germany as of 2010 following the completion of Phase II clinical trials.
