Overview

T3P-Y058-739 is a genetically modified, live attenuated strain of the bacterium *Yersinia enterocolitica* developed as an experimental cancer therapy. It utilizes a proprietary platform based on the bacterial type III secretion (T3S) system, which acts as a nano-syringe to inject bioactive protein payloads directly into tumor cells. Upon administration, these bacteria selectively colonize solid tumors and deliver proteins that activate type I interferon (IFN) and Toll-like receptor (TLR)-mediated signaling pathways. This mechanism stimulates the immune system to recognize and attack cancer cells by inducing a highly specific anti-tumor immune response while minimizing effects on healthy tissue. The drug is currently being evaluated in phase 1/2 clinical trials for advanced malignant solid neoplasms, both as monotherapy and in combination with pembrolizumab[1][2][4][5][6][7].
