Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**TA-A001** is a novel small molecule full agonist of the cannabinoid CB2 receptor (CB2r), developed by TALLC Corp., Inc. for treating ocular inflammatory conditions. It is formulated in SmartCelle™ polymeric micelles (polyvinylpyrrolidone:polylactide block copolymers) to enhance delivery of the hydrophobic drug topically to the eye, promoting faster wound healing in corneal alkali burn models compared to corticosteroids like prednisolone, while modulating inflammation via increased M2 anti-inflammatory macrophages and preserving sensory nerve fibers. Primary indications include corneal inflammation, dry eye disease, postoperative pain, with preclinical evidence of anti-inflammatory action without significant neovascularization at optimal 0.25% doses.[1][2][3][4][7]
