Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TA-A002 is a preclinical cannabinoid receptor agonist being developed by TALLC for ophthalmic and potentially other indications, formulated using the company’s SmartCelle nanotechnology to enhance topical ocular delivery and pan-ocular exposure.[1][5][11][7] It is described as a mixed CB1/CB2 receptor agonist, positioning it within the class of CB agonists, and TALLC has indicated plans to apply SmartCelle-based TA-A002 initially in highly painful or inflammatory front-of-eye conditions and to explore use in chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting.[1][5][7][11] The enhanced solubility and ocular penetration provided by SmartCelle are intended to improve local efficacy and tolerability compared with conventional cannabinoid formulations.[5][11]
