TA Gräser top

TA Gräser top is a subcutaneous allergen extract immunotherapy product based on grass and rye pollen allergens adsorbed to the poorly soluble amino acid L-tyrosine for depot effect, used as a causal (disease-modifying) treatment of IgE-mediated allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, and mild to moderate allergic bronchial asthma triggered by grass and rye pollen in sensitized patients.[1][5] By repeated subcutaneous administration in an up-dosing and maintenance schedule over at least 3 to 5 consecutive years, it aims to modulate the immune response away from a Th2/IgE-dominated profile toward immune tolerance, including reduction of specific IgE, induction of blocking IgG4 antibodies, and decreased histamine and mediator release from mast cells and basophils.[1] The product is marketed in Germany and related EU markets by Bencard Allergie as various strengths for initial and continuation therapy and is classified pharmacotherapeutically as an allergen extract (ATC V01AA02).[1][5]
